anyone with experience with these? thoughts? running a carbed AmerSpeed SBC right now, and it is not that great on a race track, pretty finicky. I was looking at the Holley HP kits, several people around here have had success with them.

Pretty much any after market EFI is going to be better than a carb set-up *IF* you take the time to get it mapped correctly. Mapping is all important and a poorly mapped car can just ruin your day. I have had a good few 5-6 hour RR sessions now and it really has made all the difference.

the best efi in my opinion is from FAST, ive got there stuff on my old corvette, Ive got a big cammed sbc 383, nothing but problems with carbs, always ran rich at idle, no matter how much adjustment I made, fitted fast's xfi and problem solved, better power delivery, better throttle response, better gas mileage, and more control over all aspects of the engine performance , not the cheapest around, but very easy to diy install, it has a self learning thing going on in the software, very easy to do some diy tuning on the laptop yourself aswell link http://www.fuelairspark.com/

First thing I did when I bought my car was to convert to FAST EZ-EFI system. I have never looked back. The system I use is very simple and self tuning. Works well on the track. Has been checked on the dyno and fuels well. Have driven 10000 miles since conversion with no problems at all. I have fitted traction control into the system which works. Only thing is FAST EZ-EFI does not control ignition. So recently I have also changed to a 3d mappable electronic ignition system with wasted spark. This made little difference to running and although if mapped correctly can save fuel, The cam that i run would make this difficult I think. FAST also do an all singing and dancing system but to be honest I do not see the point.

Ive got the all singing xfi version, which allows you to control all 8 individual cylinders for timing and fueling, etc, which is better than the fast version you have and that is a fact! lol cheers dave
