VERY cool car! Like that a lot cloud9

600bhp claimed, I wonder if that's verified... No info as to whether it uses the 5.3 or later 6.0 Jag V12 (no relation to our V12s at all).

Wonder how well it gets the power down? If you were to buy it, these questions could be answered of course...

No, next question.

Sorry to sound negative, but each to his/her own.

Any particular reason you wouldn't want vastly more power if it could be installed properly and was properly developed? Not saying this car is as its a one-off, but it makes you (or maybe me) think...

The amount of custom engineering on this car is incredible. This car was rumoured to have cost the owner $100K to develop back in the late 90s. The photos on the listing don't begin to detail all the custom work.

Why the hell would you have that over a Lister Storm though? 7.0 twin supercharged, and actually proved that it works.

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole if it was aftermarket like that example.

Lister is no more of a manufacturer than the race shop that developed the supercharged XJS in the Ebay listing. So I'm not sure what you are trying to imply by 'aftermarket'. It's not like some garage just slapped on a pair of superchargers and said job done.

This car does work and very well, as attested to by testing by Jaguar World several years ago. And a Lister Storm is not a street car, is it.

I'm not saying I would buy this either, but you really should get off your high horse.

Sorry, I meant a Lister XJS.

The point I was trying to make is I wouldn't have it on a car if it was done aftermarket.

As you say below, Lister XJS. The fact is this one looks to be a fraction of the price! Can't think of 600bhp for less money with a bit of class. OK it didn't sell, but 15k GBP might buy it. What's a Lister, 40k+?
