If they have come to you fully assembled with clips on the boots then I would assume they are loaded with both the correct amount and correct type of grease. Also it is most likely they came that way from somewhere like GKN without any additional work by the Factory.

A tip is to use some (small amount) sealant between the gearbox flange and the shaft. It stops any grease flying around the engine bay.

Hi Steve
yes they came with the covers on but there is very little grease in there and never that amount that I have found on original G50 boxes where the transaxle side plate if filled with grease for the original porsche drive shafts.

I replaced the boots on my ford shafts recently. It is officially the messiest job I have ever done! The new boots came with a small pack of grease for each end. Replaced the old boots and the put in the grease, loads came with the kit so I put it all in then put it all back. Grease everywhere but sorted. So would suggest that lots of grease seems normal?
