Dear all,
this is my first post, i paid my deposit on my 981 boxster s a month ago, so far the car is for october production,
i am going for lime gold with full leather red interrior, did any body see this combo in person on any porsche? it looks fine on the configurator but the lime gold color has a quite large color shift depending on the lighting so that is somehow scaring me.
i am unable to find this combo online either,
and as i am looking for full leather the lime agate gray leather combo looks awfull.
so what do u think?

Specsavers....
Only joking, personally I don't like the sound of it at all.... But we are all different, - it's what you like that matters....
Only comment I will make is I think that could be a very difficult combo to sell on if depreciation is a concern to you...

Different storkes for different folks I guess, it does however appear you have lost an oar If you are leasing and intend to give it back then I guess it's risk free, but if you are buying it, and want to stick with that colour you are going to limit your resale market

only interior colour that is not black that would work with lime gold is espresso
lime gold and carrera red will clash very badly, and will be impossible to resell -- it will looks like a colour combination that folks wear to fancy dress parties.
if you must have carrera red interior, it works with (in order of preference, my preference) white, GT silver, platinum silver, agate grey, mahogany metallic, anthracite brown, aqua blue, black and basalt black.
all IMHO of course

thanks all for the responces,
i am buying the car, so no reselling before 5 years at least, this is one of the reasons why i am jumping on the boxster S at launch.
the dealer has a 991 in lime gold, but black interior, i like lime gold, i like red interior, i have a feeling that when the lime gold go to the lime side of the shade the 2 will look disturbing (to say at least) but when the color is on the golden shade that's a different story.
i am planning to go to the dealer to see the colors again under different angles, and maybe putting a red leather sample on his 991.
i still have time before the build, so i might go with different combo, unless a braver person come up with same combo where i can see the car in photos.
btw i saw some cars with some weird combos, a 991 on the web had lime with blue interior!

Personally I think that combo will look awful. Any kind of green colour should not be seen with red. Have you seen a car with a full red interior too? everything is red and it can be a bit overbearing to be honest.

silver, white or black would be best with the red. I am in favour of the coloured interiors, my car is ocean blue inside with white stitching. Having sat in a red car for some time though I think its a bit much and would consider breaking it up with variegated carpets etc.

It wouldn't be my colour choice, but I actually think you'll get away with it! Having said that, I would go for Aqua Blue with Beige, which I know is not going to be a popular choice.

(I like both colors, but not together) Yes to lack of sleep and yes I would would buy a combo like that with my own money! Largely irrelvant though as at this money I would buy a 3.8RS. Blue with red or white with gold! MTR

Who's to say what people will like in 5 years?
I wanted a white BMW in 2006 but the dealer talked me out of it saying it was residual suicide, now they're everywhere.
I know three people who have ordered new Porsches in brown. Two years ago you wouldn't have dreamed of it.
Get the car in the colours you want, if you chose based on popular opinion you'd buy a diesel Audi.
I think it will look spectacular.

I think there are better colour combinations.... But, it is your car, your money, so if that is your dream combination then do what you will enjoy owning.
Just play with all combos so you're 100% happy with the final choice.
