Just picked this up to replace my SL. Fully aware they can be expensive but thats par for the course. Got a feeling its been remapped already as it certainly seems to go and I'm used to fast cars and bikes. DRC has been replaced with Coilovers already. In the process of replacing the rear cam chains and tensioner pads, all the vacume hosing and gearbox oil then its off to MRC for a full health check before I add intercoolers and a full exhaust. Already fixed a few little things like steering wheel badge, intermitant driver door lock, machine polished most of the bodywork apart from the bonnet as thats getting louvers stamped in soon to help with cooling as I wont be driving it like miss daisy at the Spa next year. Comments welcome and yes I know your remapped Focus RS is probably faster but wait till its raining... wink

You can just see the solar sunroof - bloody great idea which really keeps the cars interior cool!

Love these, one of the few cars that I regret selling and will definitely have another one day. I know first hand that they are expensive to run but you can pick them up for peanuts now and if looked after correctly will go on for miles.

Great choice.

Got one as A. They are bargains now and so long as you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty they are not silly to keep going. Mind you go near a dealers and its pants down time looking at the receipts I have!! OMFG! B. A good friend of mine (RIP) had one of these and its the only thing that could match and out top end my old VXR600. He did have a boot full of NOs mind - LOL

Lovely, saloon really growing on me too. Would love to own one of these, prefer it to the newer V10 cars I think. Lovely colour too that.

Cheers guys - I agree they are rare. As for pictures, I will once I stop taking things apart to make perfect again. Interiors getting re-dyed and polished again so that will be better than new most likely and is something I am looking forward to not that its that bad as is.

No Mail received...? Post em up and IL try to help but still learning myself. Just had the rocker covers powder coated red whilst checking the cam chains and pads which are perfect. B*tch of a job getting the drivers side off! (they are alot brignter red than the picture shows BTW.

Also replaced all the small bore boost pipework after seeing how bad some were!
