Does anybody have any idea what the cost of replacing a front wing on a V8V is and any recommendations for a specialist to carry out that work (location not important). I managed to split the wing at the top of the wheel arch in a very low speed coming together with a wall and I don't believe it is repairable.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Had to have this done on mine a couple of years back. Parked in a car park and someone knocked it while I was gone for 10 minutes (Aargh). Didn't even notice when I got back to the car but saw a hairline crack the following day + tell tale paint marks.
Anyway, IIRC, the wings are polycarbonate, and it ain't cheap. If memory serves me correctly it was in the region of £7k on insurance.

In similar circumstances, I was promised by Fairweather Auto-Shine in Exeter that when I got the car back I wouldn't be able to tell the wing had been replaced, and I couldn't. Very good work. I crunched the valance, too, so my cost wouldn't be a good guide. http://www.fairweatherauto-shine.co.uk/

There are a couple of used ones on eBay at £200 ish. Not damaged, but marked/scratched etc....you'd be getting a bodyhop to fit and paint it anyway. Probably your cheapest option, and I don't really see any downside compared to buying a new part.

The wings are moulded composite that repairs the same way as fibreglass. You have to ensure all the damage is found as it splits into layers. I use a fibreglass repair kit and have had no issues, had more damage sometime afterwards and the wing cracked in a different place! Id guess this is where your damage is as well..

Would you bring the car to the UK to get the work done? Or are you looking just in Switzerland?

A quick look on ebay tells me you would be paying a lot more elsewhere

I'm sure they are Luna, I had the wheels done a few months ago & my slightly pitted centre have been bugging me ever since. Where are you in the UK? I'm flitting between Manchester & Liverpool.
