Calling all Surrey, Thames Valley and any other Vette interested parties!

Since those charming folk at Kent often make the pilgrimage all the way from the south east side up to Surrey, I thought it only fair that we pay them another visit on their own club night this Wednesday the 8th of August 2012.

Pass the word around and don't be shy, they really are a nice bunch. (Even the two regional Reps). The food was very acceptable last month when a few of us popped down there.

They meet EVERY second Wednesday, don't change their venue or indeed club night! How novel is that?

Damn!! I meant second Wednesday - alterered!

So, left my place at 6:30 to get there for 7:30.

Got as far as half way between junction 9 and 8 and came across this little lot:





As you can just about make out, it went on for as far as the eye could see. In fact the jam lasted from just past junction 9 to 5 !! After an hour I got bored, so I turned back. Check out the other side of the motorway:



You can also see that the weather was fantastic, warm sunny and DRY. All I ended up doing was an 80 mile round trip, got through over 1/4 of a tank of fuel and cleaned the car for nothing!

Hope Kent had a good night and apologies for not making it. I did try!

Totally agree. There was an accident apparently but you know how crap they are at clearing even a minor bump up on our roads. I wouldn't have minded if the weather was bad - but just look at it , is was amazing!!! Still, there is always next month....
