Hi,
I'm looking to buy a Gallardo and wondered if there are any colour combos to avoid or to snap up if they are good?
There's an orange SE at £79k...will the SE hold value better than a Spyder?
Plenty of Black spyders with low miles for £85k.... O ne with tan interior...is that a bad thing...is black on black safer for resale?

I change cars every 6 months so need to buy at the right price and haven't been following G prices...

Is lifting gear essential too?

Any advice gratefully received!

Hi
Most on here like the bright colours, all a bit subjective .Silver is not a popular colour, although i dont have a problem with it.
Orange, green, yellow, white seem to sell well .Black, yeah lots about, must be a reason for that lol.

Lifting gear is real helpful every now and again, also rear view camera is good to have.Kinda better
too have it and not need it,than need it and not have it,can only help come resale time.
Egear cars fetch a bigger price tag over the manual, like for like.

Happy hunting biggrin

first, you really need to decide if you want the spyder/open top experience..... if so, then you will not be happy with a coupe...... the sound is good in a coupe, the spyder is obviously better...

second, what will loose less.... if a buy a spyder now and aim to sell in six months, in early march, you will take a hit, best to buy a spyder late september if you can wait.... and sell april/may at the earliest... you could say summer starts pukka mid may with the cliveden house meet...

i reckon you could get the yellow se for 70ish, is the orange se worth 10k more.... not imho..... the white se sold low 70's, the silver one is now <70k, and the yellow one has been on sale all summer.... the se is a lovely spec car, but they don;t seem to be being snapped up, as a reference, a grigio se sold last summer for 80k

colours..... red and blue sell slowly..... you might get one cheaper, and could then sell cheaper, but don;t pay for similar prices for these colours..... verdi ithaca is rare, and IMO citrus (yellow, orange and lime) are the best.....

black spyders do sell, i think black interiors look dull, even with stitching..... but two colour interiors are rare.... don't think tan is a bad colour.....

some say buy the latest age car you can for your money...... i think anything post se is fine, e gear will resell faster....

yeah, most like, in terms of liking to look at etc, but when it comes to buying they prefer something less loud and more discrete!

just looked at the classifieds.... the silver se has sold, and the yellow spyder also...

links will eventually stop working btw...

if you wanted to minimise risk... this has to be the car to go for...

if its a spyder, then the cars 84-86k are the ones to go for and lifting gear should not be a deal breaker...
