Sorry to do yet another of these but wondering if anyone knows about the 997 GT3 RS on sale here:

http://pistonheads.com/sales/4122891.htm

It looks competetively priced provided it's accident free, maintained and not overrevved. I would expect it's seen some track action which is obviously fine for these cars but wondering if anyone owns/owned it on here, or knows anything of it's past?

Thanks,
Pep

Can't help with your question, but just wanted to say it looks absolutely stunning.

Just THE best colour combo, ever, on any car!

Hope it turns out to be a good un, and you buy it thumbup

I think someone else looked at this very closely - obviously didn't go for it in the end.....

Yeah me too, hence the caution on any orange RS.

My 1M will be going up for sale soon to make way for something truly awesome again. Stuttgart's chances of filling the gap are exceedingly good smile

That one was for sale near Birmingham, it had done 19k miles and had been badly repaired, the trim on the drivers door damaged and not replaced, rear wheel damaged , front heavily painted, drivers door not fitting properly, cut in the drivers seat, was up for 68k, the guy wanted me to make an offer, said it didn't want the car even if 10k cheaper, as will always be the wrong car.

Know what you are looking for or get it inspected....

Having done some due diligence recently RE potential 997 GT3 purchase, I could not agree more.

Think he meant the OP missed out, as in you already bought it! Looks very nice too.

Congrats feller - Think these look absolutely fantastic in Orange. Incredible road presence, and epic on track. Plenty more around for me to consider, and my 1M has to go first.

yes

Congrats on the purchase, I'd like to think that one day I'll have a 3.6 RS in the garage.

Ah thats a different one, the one i saw was at C&R Performance in Nuneaton, cant remeber the reg, but had not been reshelled, just badly repaired, i saw it back on here a month or so later, at another dealers, cant see who will buy it, as a very poor example.

Bought mine privatley from a PCGB member in Yorkshire, excellent car and just having the porsche exetended warrenty put on it for peace of mind.

Brilliant car absolutly love it, just need to drive it more, but got track day booked for Spa in October... cant wait.
