Well after months and months of occasional casual searching on here & other places the time finally seemed right to enter the world of RS ownership, right colour, right spec & a decent price All good news BUT .... The plan was always to sell the GT2 as part of the deal & when push came to shove i couldnt do it !!! The old girl has to much character & a real place in the heart strings so she stays as well - they can keep each other company

If so, do you mind letting me know who did it?

I rang up about this car, I wanted the registration plate to do a check on the net and forums to see if it was a 'goodun' but the salesman said "I'm sorry sir, we have just taken a deposit for this one" Congratulations Mr, it's a lovely car! How about a write up comparing the GT2 to the RS?

Wow. I'd like to compliment my GT2 with a partner and that GT3 is beautiful. I would go old though and compliment it with a lovely pre-impact bumper in Silver.
2 Fundamental problems i have:
Lack of Mular Lack of space.

Thanks everyone & cant quite believe i have ended up with 2 due to lack of willpower selling the GT2. I've certainly never previously got that attached to a car to the point that i wouldnt sell it but the car is such great great fun that in a way it is irreplacable. David911RSR - RPM Specialist Cars (they are based in the same town as the dealer selling the car) Oilslurper - thankyou, to be honest i've lost out on 3 potential cars in the last 18 months by dragging my heels - it was time to take the plunge V8SKN - Sorry !! - will absolutely put a write up together once i've had a chance to put a few miles on the RS & a couple of trackdays, it has a fair bit to live up to as the GT2 has been an absolute joy to date, has larger hybrid turbos, rsr suspension goodies & KW suspension Crimp a Length - I know what you mean re/ something older - have looked at a lot of 70's, 80's turbos or considered a nice rsr rep but in the end opted for modern - main reasoning being i have spent so many track days over the years with the bonnet up on older Nissan Skylines whilst everyone else is running on the track i just didnt want to go back down that route again.

I don't think that often happens with Porsches though. I hardly ever opened the engine cover of my aircooled race cars during a meeting and never had a breakdown in about 80-90 races. Unreliability in some cars is predictable though - at a Donington track evening there were 3 Sierra Cosworths and as soon as I saw them I said "there's no chance they'll all be running by the end of the night" (it was only a 3 hour session). I was right. Both your current 911s look great, adding something aircooled in a few years would compliment them nicely.

Must admit the 80's turbos just look so right from every angle (i know we all have our nuances etc). As for RSR reps - i dare not get close to one or it's game over, deposit paid, credit taken out & months of being shouted at by the good lady We shall see in the future ....

A m8 drove the green RSR at P Stephens. Loved it but drove it on the hottest day of the year with no air con and fixed windows. Nearly passed out !!!

The orange RS do look amazing!!
Is the difference to a regular GT3 that they got plastic rear window, widebody and have buckets, harnesses and cage by default?
Is the track any different? Do they still have PSM or traction etc?
