Porsche specialists in or around Cheshire

Mike at Sports and Classic.
He looked after my Cayman S for several years (and still does with its new owner) and I've been using him exclusively for the GT3 as well.
As mentioned above, he is very easy to talk to, always give you a very good explination of exactly what he thinks needs doing and why, and I've always thought his rates were very reasonable.

We're indeed lucky to have some very good indy's up here. Unit 11 looks after my 964 and I've used Mike at S&C too.
Yep, best use of their greater areas of expertise - my 993 (and anything else aircooled) goes to Unit 11 and my Cayenne will be going to Mike, and there's no issue when discussing this with either of them, they get along well

Hartech are very good too of course (and Ninemeister) but for me S&C is 1 mile away and Jonny (from Unit 11) is 2 miles (for me he's a friend too now but he's happy to have any customers drop off or collect from his house in an evening, and Knutsford's nearer than Woolston).
It's fair to say the North West is well covered by decent Porsche specialists, and it's rare for any of them to be short of work.
Yes JMH Cheshire, took half a day holiday to sort alignment once and for all on the 996. Drove off with front toe out of spec and right rear camber well out of spec. I know this as I have the means to measure very accurately. I contacted them afterwards but go nowhere, too arrogant, no customer service ethos. So much for expensive laser induction camera alignment jiggy whotnots. Actually I suspect the cause was technicians methods, I saw him doing the final torque on the mounts after having taken off the measuring tools, IT'S GOING TO MOVE OFF IT'S SETTING! In any case as we all know (not it seems) adjust rear toe and the camber goes off target at lot and vice versa, so the rear requires care. Overall was a waste of precious time and money and it's left me wondering what state factory BAC Monos are in (assembled at JMH) if they get the same quality of work.

Thanks for that, worth knowing. When I used them, it was for service type work and also fitting some buckets for me, and they were fine. Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
