I have to commentate on a TVR Race here in Ireland in a couple of weeks time and will have to give the crowd a potted history of TVR,anyone one got any good stats,stories on Speed 12 or any TVR related info which would suit..

Thanks but looking for something a little for attention grabbing...Speed 12 wipes the eye of fastest Porsche,that sort of thing

I'm sure you won't so I'd rather mention things like the T400R finished Le-Mans in 2004 in 8th & 9th positions or it gave TVR (LNT)it's first International race win at Spa in 2005 with a 1-2 in the 1000km.

I've TBH I'd forgotton about those races so not as poor as I was remembering and I guess pretty good for an project that could be considered as being run on a shoestring compared to some others. Yes I have the thing I wrote for the NEC so if Dermot wants to send me his email address I'll forward the file over.

I'll dig it out when I have a minute.. I think it was something like three 1st's at different circuits and numerous 2nd's and 3rd's. Amazing for a car which never reached it's full potential.

I read somewhere in a popular motoring magazine, that the Speed 12 has a higher power to weight ratio than the Bugatti Veyron. (Lighter body and + - 800bhp) Strewth ! A standard well sorted Griff 500 will outsprint many a many Porsche and Ferrari. 0-60, 4.2 seconds. 0-100 10.1 secs. Autocar, Millbrook test 1993.
