I'm getting back to the stage of being ready for another 911.

I'm totally open as to which 964 including cab/targa or coupe.

I don't want a C4 though.

But I do ideally want one that has big engine issues. In other words I want a bag of trouble, the reason being this will be a keeper. If I get a Cab (which I would prefer) it will be kept pretty standard trim wise but will be getting a rebuild and some degree of unnecessary equipment removed. If I get a coupe it will be substantially more stripped although not all out track car spec as I would like to enjoy using it on the road.

Budget is 10k Max so real bottom end of the market. But I don't care about colour or trim, I'd prefer one with engine issues as I have a plan engine wise that means doing substantial work even if it was perfect. It can smoke and drop as much oil as it likes and I don't even care if the usual rust spots are serious.

Anyone seen anything interesting recently?

One right on our doorstep Ollie, not too far off your budget - but with a bit of haggling....

Based on your criteria - this would be number one on my list - can probably pick it up for £9k

OP doesn't want a C4 though - but it does look like a good buy other than that

It does look a cracking car for the price, it's probably cheap enough to go and look at even though it is a C4, my only concern is how much it blunts the feel of the car, although the pay off being it could be driven all year round, my old 964 was awful in snow.

The cab though looks very interesting. If I wasn't still putting the Boxster back together I'd be ringing up to go and look at that tonight!
