Well, from the looks of it I'm going to be popping my track day cherry on Wednesday at the evening run on the Indy circuit at Brands. Someone has dropped out of a party and I have been offered the place (for gratis) but I've never done a track day before. On the flip side, I'd be stupid to turn down a free track day. The only issues I can foresee is that I will have to ride to Brands and back (60 miles ish each way). Now the distance isn't an issue but I'm guessing I'm going to be tired on the way back.
Does any one actually ride to/complete a track season/ride home anyway?

Always a good idea to definately, purposely ride very slowly on the way home! Ride it like its a Harley.

Many do
I have ridden Surrey to Cadwell and Donnington before, there and back in a day. I even had an off at Cadwell.
60 miles isn't too bad, but just remember on the way back you aren't on a racetrack

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. But it's just M25/M23 on the way back andid be riding alone anyway so I can go my own pace, the guy that dropped out was riding so all the space in the van is taken.
