We're mid way through an orangery build and the art stone lintels and sills are very soft and all have corners knocked off or are marked. One has also cracked, which is going back, but my question is are they supposed to be so fragile and easily chipped.

I'd like to think not but before I challenge the builder I'd like to know for sure.

Thanks.

You have to be gentle with them but it should be as strong as a 7N block.

Surely the fact there are many buildings without damaged art stone suggests you should be able to have one too.

Cheers. It's what I thought tbh. The fact you can gouge it with your nails suggests a manufacturing fault to me then.

Brilliant another argument tomorrow then.
