has anyone any direct experience of the above bike?
The intention is to use one for sportives/training and leisure rides.

I've got one, picked it up a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely love it, first carbon road bike and it just flies. Makes me look a lot quicker than I am! I'm 6 foot 2 and got a 62cm frame size and it's extremely comfortable from what I've experienced. Compared to my previous bike which was a Claud Butler Criterium to get me started on cycling the difference in performance is incredible. I was sceptical as to how much difference there could be between bikes; at the end of the day it's still two wheels and a frameset with some gears in between, it's the rider that makes the difference but I was blown away by how much stiffer it feels when accelerating and how easy it goes uphill. If you get chance to get one then go for it, I've got no regrets about buying mine. CUBE Agree GTC Di2 by Mark Olley, on Flickr

I have the Agree GTC Pro (not Di2) and like the poster above, it's my first carbon bike. Very happy with it, bear in mind their frame sizes are small (go for a larger than normal size).

given up on sportives then?! lovely bike, almost bought one, went miles to see one, oggled it, sat on it, ummed and ahhhed but its way too much of a race bike for what i wanted. there are a few of the 2010/11 bikes around, they have "competition ready" on the seat stays, the 2011/12 bikes have a few more words but i cant remember what. I think its "SRAM" and "BARELLI". Have seen a fair few around various Cat races and the AC420 wheels are awesome. Personally I don think much touches them for the money but a lot of people dont rate the brakes and uprated them to match the groupset. this place was the cheapest but its the earlier model. there isnt a difference as far as i could work out bar the decals though i think AC may have uprated the wheels on the later models though they are still 420s. http://www.bikesandprams.co.uk/product.php?xProd=2...As for the UK thing, well the carbon frame is Taiwanese and the wheels are made in Taiwan, the groupset is made in Taiwan too, the whole thing is bolted together in the UK. To me thats not made in the UK but I still think its stunning.

Interesting that you thought the Stretto was too race oriented. The feedback that I've had from the distributor and some dealers is that they're ideal for sportives as they are pretty comfortable over a long distance.
I'm taking one out later today, so we'll see. i really hope I like it as they do look the business!
