I'm sure I'm not the only one as both my TVR's have done it, the drivers side sun visor tends to fall down bit by bit on bumpy roads.

Being 6ft Im already having to duck a bit to see up and out of the side windows and the sun visor dropping steals an inch or two of the windscreen which really obstructs my view and gets on my tits.

I just received the 'bible' yesterday, thanks Graham! Amazing detail for many things but it doesn't cover how to sort this.

I assume the visor is spring loaded or something and I'll need to remove lots of trim but has anyone done it before who can give tips to make the job easier or how to better secure the visor?

Passenger side is fine... rolleyes

Cheers

Graham

I have exactly the same problem !!!
Thought removing the central cover where the interior light is would reveal a bolt to tighten up... sadly it doesn't... think it's a bit more involved....

I've been thinking about this also, and I'm wondering if strip magnets would work? Really thin ones like the fridge word magnets...

I think most do this, I know both do on my T350 and it is a PITA. I did read a guide to sorting once on here but due to the unique way PHs search function is funded it now cannot be found.

Does the Tamora not have a sun visor then?

The clue to that will be in your post smile
Sunvisors came in late 03/early 04 along with a couple of other mods such as boot roller, recessed glovebox and boot lip, screwed on full filler ring etc.

Convert the car to LHD? At least it's been done before whereas no one has ever found a satisfactory solution to the falling sun visors wink

Right guys, sorted my sun visor tonight.

Easy.

Step 1 -remove 2 x centre pod bolts 3mm Allen key

Step 2 -remove 2 x Phillips screws just under the leather edging at either side as below

Step 3 -tighten 2 x phillips screws on on either end of the visor

Step 4 -reassemble in reverse order and use a tiny dod of super glue to hold the leather roll bar trim over the visor trim at the A pillar

It took me about 15 minutes to do this, next time it will be about 5, piece of cake! Hope this helps a few others

Lol i have the exact opposite problem with my sun visor.

quite simply i am too short for it to work tongue out if the sun is low enough to warrant the use of the sun visor then i am not tall enough to reach my head up to where the sun visor provides shade.

maybe a child's booster seat would help biggrin
