In the midst of doing the carpet thing and the headlining, the latter being an absolute pig to do with so many angles, and sticky-stuff all over the place whilst upside-down in the cockpit etc.

Looking at the doors in particular, what have others done here? Pictures would be great!
I intend to cover the lower half with the same material as the luggage containers, but what about the top frame-bit around the window itself? Paint or more head-lining to match? Think headlining would look weird...

cheers

my input is that the uppper half of the door should be headliner materail. When the door is shut that area becomes the roof. Lee

Then experiment with new gas struts, as the factory ones are designed with the weight of the naked door. May be fine with light fabric.

Had mine painted to match the new dash. Little sound proofing in the hole, carbon fiber plate and aluminum handle. Door are much more substantial now with less air leaks. I know, I added weight, but honestly, the Ultima is so fast, I don't mind the extra creature comfort.

Sorry for the thread divert, but do you mind saying what rubberised paint you used on the front clip of your GTR. Thanks.

Why would you want too?
That is the exit path for any ventilation you have.

From my experience nothing comes in there not even air.
