does any one know how easy it is to disconnect te little lamp that shines down from the mirror binnacle on to the centre console, iI would rather have it dark inside the car

Do you meant he 2 map lights? Just take the bulbs out!!! 2 minute easy peasy job!!

Have you got pictures?
I've only got the map lights (MY07) and I don't think I've ever seen a Vantage with a different set up.
Moreover I can't think why there'd be one?

I'm sure this is the ambient light. I've seen it before so I assume it is an option.

S Thanks Simon. Genuinely interested as mine doesn't have it (and there's only a reading light on that page in the manual). I wonder if this is another MY change at some point...(MY07 here).

Interesting... my old XKR had an ambient light, was actually quite nice, very pale orange glow. Didn't know AM fitted them as an option.

Mine has the auto-dimming rear view mirror and no ambient light so perhaps they are exclusive of each other.

 sorry cant seem to get it to display but if you click on the icon you should be able to see it I've got the auto dim mirror as well S
