Anyone played with reworking or removing this? Any views, conclusions or links to info?

I cut mine out some time ago and noticed a slight change in a couple of the cylinders EGTs, it seemed to balanced them out.
I then had to adjust those cylinders fueling (sequential fueling). From that I would assume its picked up a little power, but havent got a before and after,

That's the chap. Assume you were grafting on a bigger TB? Did you complete it?

It's now with my welder waiting to mate a twin TB.

I've read that removing that divider allows/creates turbulance in the plenum that can lead to uneven air distribution, the same goes for the siamese plenums. I assume it was there for a reason so I'd be reluctant to remove it without investigating further.

Exactly my thoughts, I'm leaving it in place!

You better! Took me ages to smooth it out,

But with mounting a twin throttle on, it more of less will run each side of that divider

From what I've been told the biggest difference comes from having the throttle body opening up the other way, eg the top of the blade going towards the trumpets, which will avoid the 'letter box' restriction plus distribute air better and faster with out turbulence to the trumpets from the top of the plenum,

Does that make sense? I'm terrible at describing things to words.

Which is why I asked the question smile

Cut it out, you dont want turbulence entering the plenum, a bit of turbulence entering the back of the valve is not a bad thing to create swirl, it is there purely for strength on the centre bolt
