Finally picked my 968 Sport up today, I put her in for her first Service and MoT in my ownership almost 2 weeks ago and asked that they give her a thorough going over to see what state she is really in.

I then got a call from Workshop Manager and an invite in to go over her whilst she was on the ramp. So I went down and spent a very pleasant 40 minutes one evening whilst he went through the list of items deciding what needed doing now, what can wait, what I will do myself and what preventative work needed doing.

They took a very pragmatic approach, I had some MoT advisories around corroded brake and fuel pipes, they checked them and found it was just surface rust, so they have gone through and cleaned the lot up and undersealed them, which cost a lot less than replacing them unecessarily and has also prolonged the life of them for years

So it is all done except the brakes, they are just awaiting prices from alternative sources as the OPC prices for M030 discs will make me weep....

The cost for Service, MoT, NSF Front Wheel bearing, Cambelt & Tensioner, 2 new Bridgestone SO2 N3s, de-rust and underseal all Brake and fuel pipes, Brake fluid flush, coolant flush and tightening my bonnet up  was a whisker short of £1300 (they didn't charge to tighten the bonnet!!)

Which whilst a big bill, I thought was very reasonable (also put about 1,000 miles on their Mini Cooper D Courtesy car!!)

The service at Dove House was excellent, The Workshop Manager was pleased to have a customer that was enthusiastic about the car, he sees quite a few (mainly 997 owners) who aren't... The owner of DH has had 3x 968 CS and they know their way around them which is great

Did you meet the owner? He seemed a nice enough guy when I was there.
He loooves the 968 and has a very very rare 993.
I thought blimey, that is one special motor, he was more interested in my CS.
