Different colour calipers too.
Different model badges on the rear too.
Ergo, they are nothing like each other

Anyway I like both very much and if I would have the "old" DB9 I would not certainly change it for the new

Who cares if they look alike when it looks that good?! There is no better looking car on sale today imo.
Do not disagree (actually I still like also the old DB9 very much) even if I just find interesting the fact they have "thrown in" the Virage just for 18 monthsEdited by Riccardino on Monday 24th September 13:00
I think the point that is trying to be made here with the pictures is that Aston is not discontinuing the Virage in the least, they are discontinuing the name Virage and slapping a DB9 badge in its place. And they are making some improvements to the Virage.
Seems like Aston can't (or won't) tell a straight story to the public.

Indeed. And it all seemed to make sense with a 'Vantage, Virage, Vanquish' model line up!Can you imagine if they'd gone from the DB4 to the... DB4? No idea why DB9 name has been continued, the car is sufficiently different especially with the engine and brakes.

That's a very important question. Let the discussion start ...
I think they are both Very Green
I think they are both Hardly Different Green.I think they are both Very Green
The new DB9 looks slightly darker than the Virage on my screen

If that's Viridian, it's a poor representation!
Shows all the Virage needed was the DBS bootlid, really finishes it nicely. The 'DB9 1/2' is the nicest of the 'parts-bin' Gaydon cars I think, more resolved than the Vantage S.

And yes it's definitely Viridian, have a play on the configurator, is a very poor representation as you say

May have missed something here but the new DB9 has DBS engine output (510bhp) a Virage body and old DBS bootlid . As it now includes the Carbon brakes it is basically the old DBS at about £50k cheaper ? The only thing it hasnt got is B&O as standard? Surely this will hit DBS prices ?
I tend to agree. The 'new' DB9 looks a great deal, but as DBS's seem to drop like a stone anyway, maybe there won't be a big further hit (he said, hopefully). Having a look at the new Vanquish on Thursday, but it will be at least £60k more than the new DB9, and is going to have to be something special to make that gap worthwhile.
