Hi chaps, 3 weeks into 56 plate v8v ownership and had a strange beeping noise coming from passenger side, almost from footwell. Sounded like it was coming from the speaker. Turned off the stereo and it continued. Not a constant beeping, but irregular, lasting about 4-5 beeps, volume intermittent. Turned off rear parking sensor to eliminate that, beep continued. The car has tyre pressure monitor valve lids on the tyres, but can't find the control box....may be it's not fitted? Anyway, pulled over to check tyres, no obvious signs of tyre deflation. No messages on OEL or infotainment stuff. Post restart, didn't t happen again. Anybody got any experience of this or any ideas? Not unduly worried, but was a bit paranoid as I was on the M6 in roadworks, so option to pull over for a few miles!

Edit, car also has GSM phone thing. Never use it, but this may be relevant?

Doesn't the phone system beep if there's a outstanding message? May be worth a quick read of the manual!!

Update, this appears to be happening in the vicinity of fixed speeding cameras! I was not aware the Volvo derived SatNav had this feature, so any early V8V owners know of this? Alternatively, I'm going mad

I've had a ferret around, but nothing obvious. Mike at BR thought there may be a Bluetooth controller installed which may be beeping, but I'm not entirely sure what it looks like! Nice idea though, although when it does beep I'm certainly not speeding, as its happened on the M6 in roadworks. It's odd, and it's questioning my sanity but not in a worrying way.....

Cockers, I knew I'd get the answer from somebody! It's obviously the seeker head on my anti wker missiles. It's clearly getting thermal plume every time it sees a Porsche, or alternatively gets spooled up whenever that tosser on another thread about an 'old Vanquish' puts his fingers to a keyboard......
