Ok people, please don't dis me too much, but you can grow seriously old trying to find things via the search on this site, so at the risk of opening a no doubt well worn subject thread.....

New battery time for my Cerbera .. a standard 4.2 AJP ith no bells or whistles, what is everyone using these days to crank their beasts into life ?

Time (& suitably witty comments ) appreciated...

I think it's an 072 battery, but what ever you get, just make sure the battery terminals are the right way round, some manufactures changed them around and then they would not fit the Cerbera.
I got a Yuasa battery.

I put in one of these earlier this year, been good so far apart from no lip on the side near the bottom to bolt it down properly.

Me too. Just changed it a couple of weeks ago as it happens and I can confirm it's an 072. Takes some encourgement to get in out though! smile

Hi,
Was in the same situation as you recently, needed to change the battery on my 4.2 AJP. It was a beech to remove the old one but the Optima Red Top was the one I went for in the end (not wanting to start that debate up again) but I've found it fantastic, I don't do trickle chargers and even left it for almost a month recently and it started first time as strong as ever. And...it is much smaller so when fitted you can even get to both terminals if need be.

I think there are two different terminal types though, so make sure you get the right one.

HTH
