I'm in the market for a 111s, and have found one near me that I like the look of, save for the service history being a little patchy from the previous owner. With a fresh full C service and cam belt, discs/pads and front end respray I'm tempted - irrespective of its highish miles. Anyone know this black Elise 111s - originally wearing the plate WV02 KHO ? http://www.castlesportscars.co.uk/cardesc/lotus-el...Thanks in advance. Mark.

Don't know it, looks very like mine though. Not seen another with black and red until now.

I bought a very similar car from Castle a few years ago and it was fine. Ben, is the man to talk to.
An S2 Elise in Starlight black does look fantastic and I enjoyed the low cost (VVC engine)road fund licence and very good average of 35mpg too.
Seems expensive but I guess it comes with a warranty too?

I am pleased to see they're still commanding this sort of money.

Always find the dealer named by the OP ridiculously expensive and yet they obviously 'get by'. No doubt they can justify their prices but would much prefer a private sale or even other specialist Lotus suppliers, Will Blackam comes to mind

Will see if I can find her on there. There is an 18k mile two year gap with no service history and the promise that it was done by her partner... I like the car, but not the patchy history... Seeing it Saturday JACK6284 said: thanks for the link - this is the other contender, but I'm not hot on the interior, and the front end looks like it'd need a respray. Will see it next week

Flippin' heck, you could get mine for that money - similar miles; two sets of wheels; better seats; better spec. all round really; and you wouldn't have to have a red steering wheel ...

Mine would be cheaper, but the nose has not been sprayed (and is chipped) and the next service is a biggie....

Yes, well mine would be cheaper too ... and is fully serviced ... Certainly has a few stonechips though. I was planning to put mine up for sale in Feb/Mar time when I thought people's minds would be turning towards the summer, track days, and so on ...

Not bein a Lotus man I can't comment on the car, other than to say I like the colour combo, but I can comment on the dealer. Castle really looked after me when I bought my T350, they may not be the cheapest dealer but the level of support, aftersales and quality of prep more than made up for it. Speak to Ben (I see he's already posted) and I'm sure he'll be as honest and helpful as he can be. Also remember, the asking price is just that and I'm sure they wouldn't mind a sensibly thought out offer if it's what you want - worst they can say is no.

Or you could get mine for another £500! 2005 111S, Hardtop, 40k miles, recent AD07 tyres all round, LSE, Induction, new brake discs/pads, recently serviced, next service is an 'A'
