The Two don't go together as I found out last weekend.
A quick wash and the following day I can't get in.
After getting the help from you guys how to break in half the battle was won.
I was given the number for Carl Baker http://www.tvruk.tv/ who I was told is the man to go to for any TVR related electrical problems.
How right they were.
On a Sunday eve while I am pulling my hair out Carl took my call and talked me through the problem areas. I then had a look on line to see the £ damage for new alarm that will still be compatible with the Immobiliser.
The results did not make me smile.
Carl came out last night while in the area and took out the box to re programme.
Problem!!! Water damage to alarm!! Can't re programme.
Carl had pre programmed a replica alarm to use as a test. Obviously this worked and the car recognised it, re set itself, wa la. fixed. The happiness drained when I thought of the next part... ££££.
Carl however gave me a figure so small over our agreed figure I nearly fell over.
Problem solved by a real gent and for fantastic £££.
If you have any problem big or small get hold of him now as he will soon be leaving for France to set up home. I can't thank him enough.

Hi Dave

I thought I sent out the details of a replacement to all the region.

If you need the details again, let me know.

Thanks! A.

Hi Mike

The full details I have are a TVRCC related "pack", PDF plus other information about deals etc.,
but I can certainly post some generic info...

Name: David Fairclough

Company:
HF Solutions
9 Bucks Avenue,
Watford,
Herts
WD19 4AR

Contact Details:
David Fairclough
Technical Support
Mobile: 07721654829
email: tvralarmtechnical@rocketmail.com

Background:
Until 2 years ago, David headed up technical support for Meta SystemsUK in the south of England. This entailed liaising with vehicle manufacturers and helping with the design and support of alarm systems.

As Meta Systems were the manufacturer and suppliers for the alarms installed to TVR, David was also responsible for the training and support of their regional installers (including Carl).

Starting up his own business after being made redundant, David offers installation and support of alarm systems etc. and now works with such companies as: -

  • Bespoke Performance in Ware, Herts
  • Str8six in Lewknor, Oxfordshire
  • Hilton & Moss of Bishop Stortford
  • Racetech Direct, Henley
David can provide services such as...
  • Coding of transmitters and alarm systems.
  • Replacement transmitters.
  • Over-ride keys for immobiliser (M36T).
  • Replacement systems, alarm and or immobiliser, with support as and when required.
  • Boot release interface, Chimaera & Griffith only.
  • And others...
David does do more, but best if you contact him directly for that info.

If you want the "full" info, best to contact your TVRCC RO directly. The above is just a summary.

Cheers!

Or get a 'Hornet' system (THATCHAM APPROVED)to replace the sometimes notoriously unreliable META alarm imobilizer when it goes lupy. Nearly killed me and Griff on a big fast open round about with traffic lights like South Mims on M25. Read about the 'Hornet' DIY in November TVRCC SPRINT mag by Stephen David. I recommend Snips at Hilton & Moss Bishop Stortford. Fixed my META. So far so good. Thank's Alex for your post, will file.
