last week we lost one of our wedges here in the Netherlands. The 1985 Tasmin V6 stopped running on a train-crossing.
Train arrived 2 minutes later at a speed of 50 mls an hour. Owner/driver escaped on time.

Ok, I have to say ... this is the reason I cross these type of crossings as fast as I possibly can, so in the event of a breakdown, I have momentum on my side.

Good to hear everyone was safe

How come you couldn't push it off the track in the 2 minutes?
Glad it's only your car that got hurt.

Was that survivable - looks like the tub is intact. If so another demonstration of the strength of these cars.

yikes..Good job no-one was seriously hurt..I guess it does show how strong the wedge is..Here is a pic of a wedge that was restored by RT and the guy in question spun off the road and hit 5 birch trees..Richard thorpe couldnt believe it when it came back..Its actually on his crash repair page now..The guy that owned it was lucky to escape with some minor bruises..his girlfriend is usually in the passenger seat..Good job she wasnt that day!!..

I have just shown these pictures to my car as a warning.

If you start misbehaving this could be you.
