Hello,

A chap I used to work with mentioned something ages ago about a book of reviews of classic cars, but that the author hadn't actually driven any of them because he couldn't drive.

Anyone know what the book was? I'm thinking of buying it as a comedy Christmas gift. I've googled but with no success (obviously).

Thanks,

Muppet, Cptn.

If you cant find it, you could just start copying and pasting posts from this forum into a book, there are a multitude of people who appear to have very strong opinions on Cars they have never driven!

You're not wrong!

Incidentally, I'll be posting up my review of the Kia Rio 1.4 CRDI 3 shortly. wink

Reviews arn't kind, but this is Twincams book, to which he didn't drive any of the reviewed cars.
Can't comment on the quality as i've not read it, and a touch harsh as a joke present.

Surely this would cover any book which argues;

the speed limit should be reduced significantly
all cars are killing the planet
all cars should have 70mph limiters fitted
all cars should be limited to 100bhp and bikes to 20bhp
nationwide road pricing be implemented
autonomous cars must be implemented ASAP

Not a book, but David Mitchell was recently complaining that motorists shouldn't feel hard done by if they are caught speeding, and that we are in the same league as criminals. Chinless prick.

That is brilliant, I love the Twincamfanclub guy
Not since the keyboard keys "Ctrl" "C" and "V" were invented has such a book been so well put together.

I like "A seahorse riding a unicorn in a field of leprechauns is a lovely thing to see. See how easy it is to merely type words and pretend it's a valid view? That's this book."

However the joke is on me, because I'm about to buy the book.

The title of that book is definitely something that could be used in the Little Britain sketch where the guy goes into the shop and asks for a very obscure product. 'Margaret, MARGARET!' '................Yes?'

I'm surprised. After reading the thread title I entered the thread expecting the first half dozen responses to be Jeremy Clarkson books.

It was mainly the fact that he can't drive and is making these comments that riled me.
