Hi mate
I went for a Eurocharged handheld tuner and remap from America
After i looked at the options available it seemed like it was worth a punt
My car made 455HP as standard then afer the remap it made 494HP.
The handheld tuner lets you swap maps in a matter of minutes so the dyno runs were back to back

Andrew,
Sorry I meant Performance Pack Plus? Does it have red calipers / alcantara steering wheel? The Driver's Pack loses the speed limiter.
IIRC....If you have a PPP car then the ECU has already got a 30bhp uplift which is the same as you would get from a aftermarket tuner. This would mean they would try and reflash an already reflashed ECU with no more affect.

Yes you plug the handheld tuner into the ODB port and upload the tune to your car. Takes about 2 minutes
You can put your car back to standard in exactly the same way. From what i have read, Mercedes wont be able to tell and i havent seen anyone have any problems with getting work done under warranty after having a tune. The tune also removes the top speed limiter
I think it worked out to about £850 delivered but other companies may be doing deals at the moment. They will also send you any updates they do to their tunes or if you make further modifications for free. MBWorld is a good place to do some research
I didnt know MRC tuning did a tune for the C63 AMG. I have used them on my previous Audi S4 and they were really good
There is also DMS near Southampton who were recommended but i have no personal experience of them

Hi and thanks for the reply, can the map be loaded by yourself?
Also, can the map be removed if the car needs warranty work? (Will Mercedes know its been loaded?)
Finally, what did it cost you if you don't mind me asking.
Cheers,
Andrew

The car is pretty powerful as it stands so I personally wouldn't say its a big difference. However it is noticable in the way the car reacts.
In S mode it seems quicker to change down when slightly pressing the throttle.
The car seems more responsive in the midrange. Your traction light will let you know its working harder.
You get a louder exhaust note and some nice crackles and pops when changing down.
I think it was worth it.
I will post the dyno graph when I'm back in the office so you can see where you get most of the gains.

If you are interested we are trying to get dates confirmed for Jerry of Eurocharged to come to the UK to custom tune a group of cars. There is another thread on this so if you are interested then add yourself to the list. So fa we have more than 10 confirmed.
Where is the thread? I would be interested...Just to confirm we now have enough to start arranging dates, will keep you updated but if you are interested in having your car personally tuned by Jerry of Eurocharged then please add your name to the thread titled Eurocharged coming to the UK - get your car tuned by Jerry!

I can't get this link to work, but would be interested. Despite quite a bit of research on this subject I'm afraid I've not heard of Eurocharged before. I've now had a look at their website and they have some strong claims for the c63. Has anyone got any first hand experience of this re-map? Any idea on potential costs? Would a rolling road be involved? Questions, questions...
