Repair/refurb - Bilstein shock

Anyone know who can repair/refurb a standard Bilstein non-adjustable damper? Its from an S2 Elise and needs a new piston rod.

I've mailed the UK contact through the Bilstein website but had no response.

They just quoted me £80 per corner plus parts plus delivery plus VAT.

That figure sounds correct.

Glad to hear their customer service has improved - I received appalling service from them back in 2008 when they rebuilt my S2 LSS dampers.

Initially they claimed they hadn't received my dampers until I pointed out that I had signed proof that they had got them - at which point they said "in that case, they must be here somewhere"! After this bad start, the quoted 4-week turnaround ended up being 12 weeks and that was with me chasing them weekly once they were late. Seriously unimpressed although they did a good job of the rebuild (which I'm still running now).
