Hi,

Does anybody know anything about the dealer or had any dealings with them ?

Going from the name I thought the majority of the people who had dealt with the dealer would probably be on this forum.

I have had my eye on the porsche Gt3 at 911virgin for a while and it seems a very similar car and price . Any help or thoughts appreciated. I was planning on going to see the car this weekend, as its infinitely closer than the 911virgin car for me to visit.

You could also look on http://www.seloc.org/ to confirm the above.

I'd go have a look you've nothing to loose, in my experience in the motor trade happy customers don't find reason to go on forums to leave good comments, it's natural that if you d had a bad experience you wanna get it off your chest so may have a flutter on forums like this one.

Isn't this te company who were buying up swaths of S1's and pumping the prices? Just like the London BMW Indy did with the Z8 and Z3MC?

Didn't make it due to the snow Saturday and prearranged plans today. Going up Wednesday, had quite a lot of info about the car from the last two owners.

Feedback from the garage hasn't been the best so far. Which car are you looking at?

I 've bought two cars from them over the years and always found them really helpful. I've only had one problem with a car I bought and they fixed it foc without any trouble. if you look hard enough you can probably find negative comments about every dealer in the country. just go with an open mind and draw your own opinions and if you don't like don't buy.

Wootan "if you don't like don't buy."

Exactly this, use your eyes and head when buying a car, have a good look at the chassis and suspension and test drive the car. If you know your elises then with this approach you cant really go wrong, if you're all unsure and a bit like the insecure type of buyer; go to a dealer and buy a new one.

Why is it that people are so afraid to buy a second hand car, 'because what if someone is trying to sell me a bad car'. Tough luck if it happens to you, as I said, learn to inspect a car properly and you will know that a car is not some kind of magic black box with hidden secrets.

Certainly not insinuating how the company operates as I’ve had no dealings with them. However if I was to go to an independent of any mark, I’d go there not only because of the stock they hold (which seems to be a large proportion of the S1 used market) but I’d hope as they were charging me more than a private buyer I was getting a level of security I wouldn’t automatically get from bob off SELOC. The answer isn’t to become an expert or stop winging or buy new.

Thats a little harsh, the two posts thing was an error. My previous posts were mainly about my Europa wich I bought and sold through Pure.

Since I dont have it anymore I rarely contribute.

I was merely offering an opinion based on my experience with the dealer.

I've just bought my Exige from Pure Lotus. Found them a pleasure to deal with and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again

If you go and quite fancy buying the car, I would then take it 5mins down the road to tracktorque.co.uk and get them to take a look at it before you had over the cash. At least you then have a second opinion. If the dealler does not like that, then they probably have something to hide!

A rather strange post? - have you actually done this?

For what it's worth I have no business affiliation whatsoever with Pure Lotus but have dealt with them without issue in the past smile
