Can anybody recommend a good VAG specialist in the Guildford area? Fed up with Colbornes. Is Buckinghams in Woking any good?

Edit: How about VAS Motion in Guildford?

I've had no complaints with AMD Technik in Woking.

Audi VW Specialists (AVS) in Leatherhead get my recommendation.

Good old fashioned automotive engineering, great experience of VAG (ex main dealer), reasonable rates and superb customer service.

Happy to have had them look after my RS2 and now RS4, as well as bits'n'bobs on other cars. smile

SE Autowerks just 5 minutes from Guildford mainline station? - Have looked after my A6 2.7TT, and proven competent and trustworthy! (as well as well priced).

Recommended to me originally by a PHer

I know this thread has been running a few weeks now, but wanted to recommend Tutts of Dorking. Family Garage, friendly knowledgeable and reasonable price. Also central Dorking, so plenty to do whilst you wait. I have always used them for my Corrado VR6s over the years

I recently picked up a MK 5 GTi which needs the cam belt and water pump doing. The car is going into SE Autoworks tomorrow. I phoned most specialists and a couple of dealers. Strangely enough dealers were often cheaper. Will see how it goes tomorrow.

i can recommend "the phirm" in hartley wintney. i know it's 20 miles from guildford but these guys are very good, very friendly and don't bullst you. they're not the best for emergencies though, because they're usually booked 6-8 weeks in advance. they're also not the cheapest but i wouldn't entrust my mk2 golf to anyone else (after all you're asking for a decent specialist not the cheapest).

I have heard good things about AMD as well, not sure what the deal with their websites is though:
