Have a potential buyer for my car, but they want the car finished in Silver. For those of you with painted cars, can I ask how much you are looking at for a complete spray job ?
Cheers Dave

It can vary massively - as can the quality of the end result.
Bare Min £2k I'd say.

For a quality metallic job £3.5 - 5k ish with drat (depending on the georaphical area you are shopping)... including strip fit good quality prep etc. Paint and materials with a proper plastics system will be approx 30% of the total. (50-60 hrs at £37-£50 per hour plus paint 800-1000 plus bits n bobs of specialist bonding, h lamp covers, sidescreen etc etc .. soon adds up.

You could always build another................in Orange.
Then you could have the fun of choosing which colour to use that day!!!

I recently got sent a YouTube link to Plastidip and ended up doing a bit more digging on it, looks quite interesting, relatively cheap and the next evolution of wrap, but spray on. Only caveat is limited colors at present. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Jzi_JQMWH4Julian

Hi Dave,
the color ist Lamborghini Murcielago arancio atlas. And yes, I still drive without side windows (works perfect), they are stored under the passenger seat if I need them.

It may be more cost effective to get it wrapped

There's some YouTube videos showing that you can reliquify it with a thinners, but that makes me wonder how it will hold up to gasoline spills etc. I might give it a go on the Ultima wheels as I'm tired of the polished look.
