996 Turbo - Forward facing child seats

There are lots of threads on here and other forums relating to which seats might / might not fit in the back of a 996 so I thought I would post up my latest findings from the last few days...
I have an 03 996 Turbo and tried lots of the suggested brands/models with seat base and backs in and out to try possible combinations as follows:
Britax Duo Plus - Our existing seat from previous car that had isofix. The base of this seat is a great fit but the rear seat belt clip on the transmission tunnel is mounted too far forwards meaning there is no tension holding the seat down. I could easily rotate the seat through 30 degrees with the belts as tight as I could get them.
Britax Evolva 123 - Did not fit in my car - the rear base of the seat is deflected by the wheel arch intrusion as the base is too wide twisting the seat and preventing what I felt was a secure fit.
Maxi Cosi Priori XP - Again the base of the seat is too wide at the rear riding up on the wheelarch.
Maxi Cosi Tobi - This fitted well in the rear and was definitely a consideration but the base is quite tall causing the head wings to rub against the C pillar.
Recaro Young Sport - Again the base of the seat is too wide at the rear riding up on the wheelarch. I could not get a firm fitting.
Cybex Pallas - Fitted really well on the base and touched very slightly on the C pillar but not as wedged as the MC Tobi seemed to be. Definitely one to consider but the seat belt buffer pad I thought would be a problem with my son instead of the 5 point harness.
Besafe IZI Comfort X3 - This seat appears to have been made for the car! It has a narrow base that is lower than the MC Tobi, and the belt arrangement suits the 996 perfectly. It does indeed look very similar to the Mamas and Papas Pro-tec that everyone mentions as being a great fit.

Yep they work a treat... I have a couple of the old Mamas and Papas Protec seats in my C4S and they've been great.
They're exactly the same seat. BeSafe originally made the Protec for Mamas and Papas in the UK. Having been discontinued by M&P BeSafe then launched it in the UK under there own name.
