Hi I am new on here and thought I would share some photos of my French cars.
This is my 205 XLD which I have owned from new on its last day on the road before getting some major TLC, the mileage was 498624.

The following pictures are after the work had been carried out.

My 1996 205 Diesel was originally a demo and one elderly lady owner before myself. The mileage in September 2011 when I purchased the car was 10228 miles, today it is still only 11220.

A few photos of the car as purchased.

How the car looks now, after fitting a GTI front and rear spoiler and some cheap genuine Peugeot alloy wheels. I used a phase 1 rear spoiler as I did'nt want to drill the tailgate to fit the phase 2 spoiler.

My 1994 Peugeot 205 Mardi Gras Turbo Diesel, again a demo and one lady owner. The photos below are as purchased.

The engine bay after pressure washing.

The following photos after respraying the roof, fitting GTI front and rear spoilers, getting rid of the Mardi Gras decals, etch pimer and painting the bumper inserts Peugeot cherry red. The steel wheels are from the XS model and are off of my original 205.

A local garage did most of the bodywork repairs and paint. The interior is 100% original, having had seat covers used all the time. Carpets have had genuine Peugeot 205 tailored mats fitted from new.

Thanks for your comments.

Rallye decals, GT logos and it's an XLD laugh

D-plate blue one is stunning though! Got to be one of the most respectable 205's in the country.I had a 1992 1.8D Style 5 door which was on 295k or so when I gave it away. Another member on this forum was using it and (I believe) took it to 307k. It was a great little car too. I wonder if it's still on the road now?

The decals on the D reg 205XLD were called Peugeot Talbot Sport decals, they are for the GTI model, hence why they donot fit correctly around the arches. These decals were available from the dealer in 1987 as an approved accessory. The ones fitted to the car after restoration were made from measurements and photographs only.
