...on my 2008 V8 Vantage. Drivers works just fine. Tried the site 'search' function but don't see much to assist.

Any suggestions?

Best way to search is from google.com oddly.

Have you tried a window reset as shown in the FAQ sticky at the top of the forum?

Does it drop a couple of mm when you open the door? If yes, try a window reset in the FAQ. If no you could try disconnecting the battery to reset everything. You will then need to reset seats and all windows.

However, I would suspect the window module is faulty.

Are there not fuses for each module rather than both on one?
Worth a look.

Ta for that, folks. Nope, it does not drop when I open the door. I did have a flat battery recently so, perhaps, a module or a fuse has gone kaput. Will have to delve deeper...

Has it been into the shop recently?

This happened to my 2008 a few weeks ago, just after the dealer had fixed the tracker.

They took it back and fixed the window for free, even though it's out of warranty. They didn't say what needed doing.

Hi there, can you tell me how your problem was solved. I have apparently the same issue but n both doors. If I open the door, the windows are not going a cm down. I can now hardly open the doors!

All this happened today. No recent service or anything else other than not driving a week or so.

I tried the "learning cycle with the 5 secs waiting time" but that clearly has nothing to do with my problem.

Thanks.

And to add to this... I also just found out that my mirrors are not folding in anymore after turning the alarm on. Any additional ideas?

Thanks

Does the window work from the switch? If not Most likely door modules have locked up. Carry out a hard reset by removing the door card and disconnecting module briefly. Reset widow after that.

I've just done this very thing this morning as one of my windows wasn't dropping correctly. taking the door card off really is easy with workshop manual. the multiplugs into the module were a bit off a pain to remove to de-power it (I just temporarily removed the two grey connectors) but all worked out well in the end.
