Hulk to Frankenstein in one step

Severn Valley Motorsport hatches plan to meld GT-R with Qashqai - bonkers or brilliant?

Severn Valley Motorsport, creators of the ‘The Hulk’, a 218mph Nissan GT-R that can claim to be the world’s fastest, are back with a new – and even more bonkers – project.

Kind of like the Juke R but hopefully less ugly
Kind of like the Juke R but hopefully less ugly
The company has just taken delivery of a delivery-mileage Nissan Qashqai and a 2012 GT-R, with the aim of – you’ve guessed it – melding the two together into one. And by that, of course, we don’t mean the GT-R’s bodyshell with the Qashqai’s drivetrain.

No, the Qashqai will soon be running the running the GT-R’s VR38DETT engine and four-wheel drive running gear, surely making it the quickest Qashqai in the world. While there’s no word on what sort of power figure it’ll be running yet, this being SVM, you can be pretty damn sure it’ll be a big one. In fact, to aid with the new car’s build, SVM has also announced that it’s moving into fancy new premises. No small project, this, then...

if they had done this before the Juke GTR then id be excited, but its kind of nothing new now. Will still be a pretty insane car with the added power SVM while surely give it.

While there at it they may as well build a 1.5 DCI GTR!

Not a bad way to use up spare time.

Remember they won't be leaving this standard power like the tuners did with the Juke GT-R.

Might finally give this Quntquai enough oomf to break the 60mph in the outside lane barrier they all seem to run in to.

Hope they arent cutting that GTR up for it !

The Quasqai is one of those cars that I forget what it looks like unless one is in front of me, there is a guy at work that aspires to one like it is something to be revered, sure they are a decent enough car but as an object of desire its up there with a Whirlpool Fridge/Freezer for me.

Nice, but I've gotta say my curiosity for this sort of thing was entirely satisfied with Nissan's/RML's effort with the Juke.

It'll be interesting to see how the Qashquai will handle after surgery. It's probably not a great idea and even less of an original one.

The question "why bother?" keeps coming to mind though.

Me too.

Something like that. Mind you, they'll tune the engine for extra go too.

To get the word out about their spanky new premises I would imagine...
A bit like tuners releasing their creations with the most ghastly colour scheme imaginable to draw attention to it...

There's many boring fkers here.

Why own a fast car?
Why eat junk food?
Why jump out of a plane?

Because you can, and it's fun.

Christ, I think I'd rather stay in and cut my wrists with razor blades than go down the pub with some of you.

The Juke-R was pretty extreme in looks and inside it has full bucket seats, roll-cage, etc. if I remember correctly.

What would be cool in this case is to have the end product look exactly like the donor Qashqai (apart from maybe some wider tyres and a bit lower for stability), including the normal interior.

The ultimate sleeper.

Agree that with the Juke-R this doesn't seem particularly interesting/creative.

If they do a two way swap and there's a 1.5 diesel GTR then it might be amusing. Stupid, but amusing.

Can't help that putting that in a Leaf would give the project more marketing appeal. Who honestly gives a f*** about the QasQhuisdfsergea?!

Then again, it's because of that reason that they are doing this laugh
