TP link powerline adaptors and Xbox connection dropping

Hi guys.

Have xbox downstairs and router upstairs hence the adaptors.

Playing xbox live and the connection keeps dropping. Really frustrating. Anyone else have this problem?

Mains networking is heavily dependent upon you having "quiet" mains cabling. One of my old houses had such electrically noisy heating that it even interfered with CAT5 cabling. Perhaps the heating pump, the 3-way switch or your fridge are causing dropouts?

Try different sockets if you can, that does make a difference. Also try and avoid extension cables.

Are the plugged in extension cables? This is a big no-no

Do you just have the two? Try to plug in additional homeplugs if available.
