Identify this colour ??
Discussion
Never thought I'd say this but, after looking at both the pictures above, if I had to choose between the DBS and the Vanquish, I'd rather have the new DB9.
My formula:
Prettier ducktail on the old DBS + newer Virage/Vanquish headlamps - huge Vanquish carbon front splitter - Vanquish plain door cards and plastic interior bits + slightly detuned new Vanquish engine with VVT + $100KUS LESS than Vanquish price = DB9 2.0!

Flugplatz Blue has been suggested as the colour. Is that possible, or is that name made up by some Ring aficionado?
Not an Aston colour that I have heard of before. If Mikey says its Ellwood it is Though there was a launch car in Flugplatz Blue as a one off IIRC
ETA a quick google search shows a couple of sites suggesting that Vanquish is Flugplatz Blue but it also comes up under Ellwood Blue, maybe they are the same?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - new DB9 the best value car in the rangeMy formula:

It has most of the performance of vanquish, the adjustable suspension, classic timeless looks and substantially cheaper. nothing against vanquish, but you don't get a lot more for the money
It's a fairly safe bet that all the cars in the range including DB9 will get vanquish style centre console soon, which will reduce the advantages of vanquish even more
Incidentally, one V12 Roadster (in Holland IIRC) on Alwin's register is in Ellwood Blue

PS: my comment re Giant Tortoise above, I jest of course and do very much like the exterior looks of the new Vanquish. Although the car pictured is a bit too bright for my taste, it is certainly eye catching.
