TV antenna removal
Discussion
I would like to remove the antenna from the side of my house (bungalow).
There is a small problem... there's a car port underneath.

It's not possible to dismantle the carport easily, nor would I trust it to support a persons weight.
Any ideas who could do the work? Or is it going to require some sort of crane/lift...?

Roof Ladder?
I did wonder perhaps a 'top down' approach, but might be a bit risky... not sure I'd want a human shaped hole in my car port roof

I have all sorts of ladders if you need to borrow one or two.
You have around two options of getting that down.
I'm a roofer by trade and i would easily give you a hand if you need it.
Would it be a roof ladder or something more complex/safe?You have around two options of getting that down.

Don't you like watching telly then ?
Partially. I don't really watch TV these days asides from Top Gear, even then it tend to miss it when it's shown first time round so just watch it on iPlayer. Could save £140-odd on the TV license fee too.
I'd want to check I can still get a signal from inside the roof before going ahead though.
Another (main) reason is birds tend to gather up on the antenna, which creates a lovely mess on the car port roof
(which is why I'd want the whole thing down, bracket and all)Gassing Station | Scotland | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
