Should we consider re-spray?
Discussion
We (well, my darling husband) is in the process of rebuilding our Chimaera. Everything is ready to put back together. New chassis, reconditioned bits and bobs (that's the technical term for everything else) plus some new bits.
I'm not keen on the colour (Sapphire Blue, a really dark almost black coloured blue) - is this the time to consider a re-spray? Any suggestions? I quite fancy Estoril blue, but would want it to be one of the correct colours for the year (1998).

My Tuscans that colour and I find it a bit boring compared to my previous Tuscan that was purple paradise

If you want to stick with blue then my old 97 Chim was Viper blue and really looked fantastic, especially in the sun. Theres a couple of pics on my profile. In fact the top pic is a good example from shade through to sun...
I agree. Good colour Viper blue. One of my favorites. Will bring it on in years. Edited by Zippee on Wednesday 15th May 16:08
Good luck
House of kolors Col bolt blue is amazing
If I was to repaint mine that is the colour I would go for
It's translucent so a base coat of silver first
Then as many coats of the blue until you get the shade you want
I painted a Buick a long time ago it had 14 coats of the blue
It was mind blowing

Nah, definitely blue. I used to work with somebody who had an Elise in a similar colour - he got narked when people said it was purple. People, myself included, used to take the piss over it because it looks purple. I can see now (being in a similar position) that he was right, it's definitely blue. Just looks purple sometimes because of a trick of the light. Blue car.
