I know that this is a well discussed topic but here goes.
Purchased my 2006 DB9 Volante with warranty.
Main dealer agreed to fix some paint corrosion when I purchased the car.
Had car 8 months no problems . Minor niggle , passenger window squeaks when going up and down.
Took it too main dealer yesterday who said they could investigate and lubricate, cost approx £100 .
If that did not solve problem possibly new motor for window under warranty.
So you can now get the premium warranty on 2006 cars cost approx £1800.
Not asking you to make my mind up but need advise which problems the premium warranty does not cover that may arise.

I've just got a Premium warranty on my V8V as it's just turned three years old. I'm not sure if cover differs from that on an older car, but it seems to me pretty much everything is covered apart from wear and tear items.

Specifically, mine says the following are NOT covered : Strikers and hinges, Brake facings, Clutch (unless component failure), battery, bulbs, exhaust, wiper arms and blades, water ingress, tools, bodywork, wheels, glass, body seals, engine carbonisation.

Everything else seems to be covered, including audio, air con etc.

The lower level "plus" warranty excludes a lot more, such as belts and pulleys, mounts, oil leaks, audio and satnav, wiring etc!

Whether it's worth the money is open to debate but as I intend to sell the car in the next year it was worth the peace of mind for me. I don't know how much the Plus warranty costs but there are so many exclusions I wouldn't think it worth while TBH.

I have decided, if I take a warranty,it would be the Premium.
It seems silly for the sake of £300 as you only take out a warranty for peace of mind.

If you are so unsure of your car you have to pay 1800 pounds a year for peace of mind I suggest you sell the car and save yourself 1800 pounds and all the worry. Warranties are sold by insurance companies who know the fine print better than you and work very hard not to pay up.

It's horses for courses.
Each person has their own comfort zone . By reading the pistonhead and the amoc forum I have been led to believe that the DB9 is ,by Aston standards , a fairly reliable car, however if there is a serious malfunction it can be very expensive to repair.
Now if a problem arises I will fight my corner if Aston does not play fair but that's life. Some you win some you lose.
They can only f#<k me once.
