I've been offered a second hand 355 quicksilver exhaust for a grand. I don't really know much about them. Heard of Tubi, Capristo etc.... but not this make. In the photos it looks in mint condition, well as mint as you can get for second hand anyway.
Any comments regarding performance, noise etc?? Sound like a good deal?

sounds expensive for a secondhand Quicksilver, didn't think they were that much new

Sean, they are approx £350 used and from memory only £700 ish new.

Take a look on superformance Ferrari website.

Ok so £14 out .... They are having your trousers down mate ! :-)

I think most will agree they are a cheap alternative whilst you save up for a real one (being a capristo or at a push a Tubi) they come up for circa £1k, give rodger at the ferrari center a call and tell him I sent you please, he often has a used one in stock.

Put it towards a Capristo, anything else for the 355 just doesnt compare!

Many thanks guys, I wasn't that bothered about buying it to be honest, just a email dropped into my inbox this morning. Think I'll give it miss then. Cheers :-)

I've got a Tubi NGT on mine and personally prefer the sound, very personal thing and I'd recommend anyone to hear them before making the decision as neither are cheap!

Very much so mate, you're correct.
I bought a Tubi and as it was being fitted, I heard a Capristo, was heart broken!

Tubi sold the following week.

Like you say, a very subjective thing.

Youtube link to recording of my exhaust

No idea who was driving my car at the time and the road was of course closed at Riems for us but this is the Tubi NGT on my 355 and the 360 has the Capristo. Gives you an idea of the sounds although a 355 Capristo does sounds better than the 360 one IMHO and the Tubi 360 exhaust sounds better than the Capristo so its all down to the individual.

I will point out though that mine is a Tubi NGT that came from the 355 race cars not the standard 355 road Tubi.

QuickSilver have been making systems for Ferraris for 40 years. They produce a system for probably the widest range of Ferraris in the world.

Here is a clip of the F355 system

If you look on my youtube channel, there's also a few other vids with the Capristo, some from inside the car, so you can get an overall idea if anyone reads this and is researching
