Bought a Black F430 with Racing seats, sight unseen!
Discussion
Fingers crossed it all goes well for me! Having only sat in a f430 for the first time AFTER placing a deposit on one and never having driven one I hope I'm not making a crazy mistake!
I've purchased a black F430 with Carbon brakes and racing seats GN58 FXC from Graypaul Edinburgh. Flying up next week to collect and drive for the first time!
I'm used to a tuned Porsche 993 turbo. It's going to be quite a change. I'm not expecting it to be 'better', just different. Any tips for things to look for pre signing would be greatly appreciated!
I'm somewhere between excited to bits and prepared to be dissapointed... Very odd!

Congratulations and good luck with picking it up. I am sure it will be fine.
As you have not seen it yet I guess a really good look around the bodywork would be helpful. Very difficult afterwards to compain about chipped paint, dents etc. I guess also a decent "test" drive to check everything mechanical is as it should be.
If it has a warrantee then anything major can be picked up later but as stated a bit more difficult to complain about bodywork, scuffed alloys etc.once you have left the showroom.
Let's see some more pictures when you get home.

I did the same last year bought a F430 over the phone from Meridien. Never driven a Ferrari before, didnt see it in the flesh untill the day I picked it up, drove it back to Yorkshire...never looked back you won't be disapointed.
Hopefully there won't be, but don't assume there will be nothing wrong with it because it's a Main Dealer. I bought a 430 unseen from JCT600. When I got home I discovered front PU was on wonky, corrosion on both front wings, an odd budget tyre on front and a couple of dents. It had to go back twice to be sorted and in end I had paintwork done locally as their attempts were not much better than I could do with a spray can.roygarth said:

Thanks for the reality check! xGrahamF430 said:
Saw that car last week when I was over. It's a nice car. I'm not sure about the pink carpets and the downgraded 1.6L Ford engine, but I'm sure it'll look great on your driveway.
The 1.6L engine should give good mpg on the trip back. Could replace the carpets with the dead cats from the gold Gallardo in the other thread!
