So what do you call this beauty that parks up locally to me. Its around for a few days at a time before moving on and returning in a few months. I love the ingenuity and style, to me it certainly qualifies as both a classic and a hero.
The anoraks amongst us will know its a Bedford RLHZ Self Propelled Pump or Green Goddess fire engine but anyone able to identify the caravan?

That is wonderfully daft, no idea what the caravan is but its an interesting use of an old Goddess!

I think the caravan might be a Bessacar or a Thomson. I am NOT a caravanner!
I spotted this fire engine converted into a camper at a chateau near me in France a few years ago. It's a Magirus Deutz with that beautiful air-cooled V8 diesel under the bonnet. What a motor...
Sorry about the poor quality phone pic.

pretty sure caravan is a Lunar Clubman, mid 80's. definately not a Thomson as it has a sloping front end and they ended with flat fronts in 1980

Not too much - it wouldn't even count as radically altered as far as VOSA is concerned. So long as it's all attached securely there wouldn't be a problem.

Fabulous!

(The blue light's a bit naughty, though, innit?)

Haha, that's fantastic. I would try to make the caravan blend in a bit more but it's innovative and fun. I would buy it.

Confirmed as a Lunar Clubman by the experts on "retro cool classic caravans" on facebook.

a '48 flexible clipper? looks a bit like the airdreams from the rear, very cool.

We think it's a '51, but not sure.

The whole rear bulge is an engine room, V8 auto mounted behind the rear axle.
