Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2007 EML issue

Hi all

I just ran out of fuel in my Cayenne this evening, 1st time ever, surprisingly

It started fine after putting in a few gallons and is running OK it seems

But now the engine management light is staying on!

Coincidence or thee cause??

Any opinions would be very gratefully received and also if anyone knows anyone near Manchester/Stockport who has the diagnostics machine I'd be most grateful

The only sure way is to get a quick diagnostic, my KN Turbo frequently tells me via EML and diagnostic that I have a fuel leak problem which turns out to be that the fuel filler cap has not been rotated and clicked sufficiently.
My guess would be, as you drained the tank, that you have experienced something similar.

Get it to Mike in Knutsford www.sportsandclassic.com he's one of few specialists that know the Cayenne well and regularly work on them.

Hi eml will come on as car has picked up a misfire due to the loss of fuel,light may reset itself after a while.
