The horn on my 2005 Boxster S has been going for a while now, but I forgot all about it until I dropped it in for service yesterday.

The low tone now longer works. The OPC want to replace the horn itself at a cost of £150 (including taking off the front bumper).

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there an easier/cheaper fix?

Horns are about £25
just get your local specialist / garage/ bodyshop to do it

Just need to remove the bumper, probably worth doing both if the other hasn't been replaced as they get wet and deteriorate

Hi if its the front horn, which it normally is can be done without taking bumper of,as long as the 13mm nut can be undone,as its attached to a flimsy bracket.
