The fuse access panel on my S3 keeps dropping down into the passenger footwell. It's more annoying than anything else, but eventually something will get damaged. I've tried velcro, but that didn't last long. Has anyone got a simple solution that doesn't involve moving some of the electrics to a new location?

MIne has two metal tabs which I rotate to stop shelf from dropping. Must have been a Modification by a previous owner!

This is my solution...........

a piece of black plastic (off-cut of the guttering I made the splitter from) screwed to the "flap" that then tucks into the panel above. It will stay there on its own but, not in the picture, there is usually a single screw in the middle to be 100%

Good idea Mike, mine has a screw type plastic thing that I turn 90 degree's to release it as well as a Velcro strip.

Mine did that as well.

In the end I glued Velcro to both sides so it wedged and velcroed which worked. Does that make sense?

Mine is bolted up through the glove box with a wing nut on the inside, crude but it works.

Damien, have you tried turning the Ty-wrap inside out so it grips but doesn't lock?
Perhaps I've been living oop here in the frugal north for too long...... smile
