Hi All

As per title...

A work friend is getting a Cambelt change on his Renault Scenic and has been quoted £350 for the service..

He is asking me if this is a good price......?

Seems reasonable to me but he should try a couple more quotes to put his mind at rest.

Maybe ask at works etc.. for recommendations.

Is that the cambelt only or with all the tensioners and pulleys?

Might also be worth changing the waterpump at the same time as they're quite cheap and you'll only have to do it eventually anyway.

It is just the cambelt...

I would personally always change tensioners e.t.c and if a known problem the waterpump as well.

Not that I would use them for something like a cambelt but a useful 'Guide' (note this seems to include the tensioner(s) as well).

That sounds a bit pricey, we were quoted £250 for ours at a tyre and service centre. Is it a main agent or specialist? May explain the extra if so
