Hi all,
Things were going well until...

I have owned a 160 bhp insignia CDTi for just over 2 years I commute around 110miles a day,the steering just brill when matched with Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric tyres on 18" wheels, I do not mind the electronic hand brake, hill starts are good with the 2 second auto hold on an incline.
When it comes to fuel economy I have a tale to tell.

With tyres at 34psi all-round the tyre wear is even, I average 46 mile mph my daily commute is 50/50 urban, hilly terrain and motorway. My insignia is 09 plate I average 26,000 miles a year. I have just had a major service and cam belt £472 all in, none Vauxhall garage (my experience of Vauxhall dealers is that they are contrary and unhelpful).

Here the issue I averaged 55.7 mpg without sparing the horses, on a run with a light right foot I could cruise at 70 and return 63.4 mpg, with the car is unloaded and just the driver and a full tank of fuel. After the Service I travelled to South Wales - Cornwall - Dorset and home in 2,00 miles of mainly motorway driving Io averaged 37.1 mpg, I took the car back to the garage where they checked sensors but could not check the engine map, no problems registered on the diagnostics no warning lights, the car cannot achieve more than 44,5 mpg now. The Garage offered me a phone number for an independent engine remap specialist on a local industrial estate, I am understandably suspicious.
The car has its usual performance perhaps the lag before the turbo kicks in seems a light longer was 1,400 now 1,700. I am considering a remap £345, but really just want the pre CAM belt performance. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable/capable engine tuning centre? East Lancashire area.
